RSVP

My conversation with Lincoln tonight went something like this:

L- I'm inviting the whole earth.

M- What?

L- I'm 'viting the whole earth...policeman, fireman and even strangers.

M- What are you inviting all these people to?

L- My birthday. And I'm 'viting the most amazing man ever...Jesus Christ.

M-(slight pause and big smile) Umm, well your birthday isn't for a while bud.

We can talk about who's coming later.

I had no idea how to respond to his guest list.

That boy sure does make me laugh.

Strangers? Really? I don't even know what that means.

At least he's learning something from Primary and FHE :)

Top 'O the Mornin'

I like to make holidays fun for the kids. Both boys love to get out the decorations for all the different holidays and I love to make it a special day. This year for St. Patrick's Day we made leprechaun traps. The boys made pretend gold out of paper and put them in a pot. We hung the pots up and when the leprechauns tried to climb in to get the gold, they would be trapped. The only way they could get out was to leave a bunch of green candy/toys in the pot to stand on and use to climb out. The boys thought it was awesome and got very excited to see if they caught any leprechauns. We also did the usual dye the milk green for their breakfast cereal and had shamrock shaped grilled cheese for lunch. I don't remember what we did for dinner, but I'm sure it was either green or shaped like a clover.

4 Months

*serious thighs*

*morning after pigtails*

*she loved playing with the bag of unopened pasta*

Miss Lulu turned 4 months last week.
She is 15 lbs (80%), 25.5 inches (95%) and her head was in the 70%.
Basically she is still a chubbly monster :)

She hasn't started rolling yet, but has started eating solids.
She loves her oatmeal, sweet potatoes, squash, and apples.
She can handle bananas and pears.
She hated carrots and peas.

She's starting to giggle, but usually just for Daddy.
She loves to suck on material. Any blanket, shirt, burp cloth, etc.
She is still very much a Mommy's girl. I must admit, I kind of like it :)

She hates to lay down on her back.
Whenever she is on her back, she lifts her legs and head in a crunch position.
I timed her the other day...she held it for 32 seconds.
She's going to be the only 1 year old with a six pack.
She loves to sit up in her highchair or bumbo.
She still loves her brothers and lights up around them.
She's getting much better being around Daddy and a little better with Papa.
I think she may be getting teeth...time will tell.
She is generally a very happy baby,
and we are so blessed she finally joined us.

The Different Do's of Lucy

This little girl's hair is getting long. I'm having way too much fun trying new looks on her. Poor thing has a long road ahead of her :)
