Okay, so I stole this from a friend from high school, Joleen (http://www.joleenkremin.blogspot.com/), who had this on her blog. The boys are down for a nap, so instead of watching Days', I gave it a try. I have to admit that it freaked me out a little how right on I thought it was. Well I guess I should say most of them.
The questions below are some that we often may wonder, but what better way to answer them then with music. Here are the Rules- 1. Put Your iTunes, Windows Media Player, MP3 Player, or whatever on Shuffle. 2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer. 3. You must write down the name of the song no matter how silly it sounds! 4. Put any comments in brackets after the song name.
If someone says, “Is this okay?” You say? "Defying Gravity" -Wicked Musical (Okay, so the first one doesn't really make sense. Unless you want to get all deep and intellectual, which I don't).
How would you describe yourself? "Big Girls Don't Cry" -Fergie ('nuff said)
What do you like in a guy/girl? "American Boy" -Estelle (Dave is my American Boy)
How do you feel today? "Good Day" -Tally Hall (these titles are killing me with how awesome they are)
What is your life’s purpose? "Be Still My Soul" -Vocal Point (I promise I didn't make this up)
What is your motto? "Disturbia" -Rihanna (Umm, I guess that I am slightly disturbed. Is that the same as a motto?)
What do you think of your parents? "As Long As Your Mine" -Wicked Musical (uhh, little creepy...)
What do you think of often? "O Brother, Where Art Thou" -Vocal Point (this could be taken literally...seriously, where is he and do I really want to know...lol)
What is 2+2? "Making Memories Of Us" -Keith Urban (I think this is so cute because it made me think Dave/Mindy + Lincoln/Grant)
What do you think of your best friend? "You Move Me" -Garth Brooks (yes he does!)
What do you think of the person you like? "Just Apathy" -Tally Hall (I thought this was a good one because what kind of question is that? Seriously quiz people, you can come up with better)
What is your life story? "Hands Clean" -Alanis Morrisette (not a title one, but any of you who know the lyrics, this IS part of my life story)
What do you want to be when you grow up? "Realize" -Colbie Caillat (IF I ever grown up)
What will you dance to at your wedding? "Clumsy" -Fergie (If Dave and I get married a third time, we will totally dance to this song)
What will they play at your funeral? "Come Away With Me" -Nora Jones (oh, sweet and yet wrong on so many levels)
What is your hobby/interest? "Feels Like Home" -Chantal Kreviazuk (AMEN!)
What is your biggest fear? "For Good" -Wicked Musical (I guess not being the person I know I can/should be. Not my BIGGEST fear, but a fear none the less)
What is your biggest secret? "Cuppycake" -Strawberry Shortcake (LOVE 'EM)
What will you re post this as? "Hands Clean" -Alanis Morissette (ran out of music...good thing because this in another dumb question)

18 Months

Grant turned 18 months on Thursday. I can't believe he's already that old. I guess he hasn't felt like a baby though for some time now. We still need to take him in for his wellness checkup, so when we get his "stats" from that I'll post them. Here are some of his latest and greatest milestones:-Talks A LOT. He's getting good at putting words together like, "get down", "want some", "thank you", "love you", and "no way". His favorite word is no. I hear that about 6 times an hour.
-He loves to sing. He is really good at singing the last word of every sentence. In sacrament his favorite part is when we sing hymns. He just smiles and tries to sing along to every song.
-He likes follow along with hand motions. Clapping, waving, lifting arms up and down, etc.
-He climbs on EVERYTHING. He's really good at getting up on things and then not being able to get down. He's trying to do the stairs without using hands, but I'm trying to keep him on all fours. If he's anything like Lincoln (which he is), we'll have something broken by Christmas.
-He's just starting to understand what to do doing prayers. Last night at dinner he bowed his head and squeezed his little eyes shut as hard as he could and held that position for about 4 seconds. Then he'd look up, notice the prayer was still going and get in position all over again. He did that about 5 times.
He's such a happy little boy and we love having him in our family. Our little Grunt-a-bees.

Itty Bitty Soccer
This past week in Itty Bitty ball they worked on soccer. Lincoln did okay on Tuesday but I think he liked basketball more. On Thursday however he actually learned how to pass, stop the ball with his foot and scored some goals. He always does much better the second time. He still has "bees-in-his-head" but they have diminished to a small colony :) All of my pictures turned out blurry (I didn't have my good camera), but I did get some videos of Link warming up before anyone arrived. As soon as I can get my computer and blogspot to agree, I'll post them :)

Grandpa John
We had a visit from Grandpa John last week. The last time we saw him was over 2 years ago and Grant's never met him. He flew in from California and spent a few days in Provo, then drove to St. George to spend time with his sister and then drove up to Vernal to spend a few days with us. Lincoln instantly took to his Gampa John or Gampa Paula as he sometimes called him. Treven and Kyler have a Grandma Paula and I guess Link figured if it wasn't his Grammy and Papa or Grammy G it must be his Grandpa Paula since that's the only name Grandparents have :) We took the boys fishing, had an itty bitty ball game, ate over at Grammy and Papa's house, and Dave spent some well needed "getting to know you" time with his Dad. It was a wonderful few days and we're grateful we got to spend some time with Grandpa John.
Making scary faces with the pumpkins. Grant was not happy.
Father and Son
All the Gale Men (well, except for Uncle Chris).
Lincoln wouldn't stop picking his nose...so gross.

Itty Bitty Ball
Lincoln started his first week of Itty Bitty Ball last week. It's a community ball that goes every Tuesday and Thursday night for 45 minutes for 3-5 year olds (so that means he gets to play with his cousins Treven and Kyler). Last week was basketball, then soccer, tennis, and volleyball. He had some MAJOR bees-in-the-head on Tuesday's practice, but did much better Thursday. He's trying to figure out how to dribble, does pretty good with the passing, loves the stop and go, and is trying to figure out how to shoot. Grant wants to play really bad so he'll just run out on the court and run and run and run thinking that he's "doing it" as well. Sorry that some of these are blurry.

Cabin
We went to Salt Lake this past weekend and stayed up at the cabin. We got to spend some time with two of Dave's sisters, Janna and Jennifer, and their families. The boys loved having cousins around to play with and I think everyone had a really good time just enjoying one another's company. Sunday we drove down to Provo for the blessing of Amelia Farris (Janna and Sean's baby girl). On Saturday night we took our boys and the Farris' fishing at Silver Lake (it's basically in the backyard of the cabin). It is so beautiful up there right now. All the leaves are starting to change and the weather was amazing. Here are a few pics that were taken while the boys fished. Fished? Went fishing? I don't know...you get it.
