Merry Christmas

We spent Christmas at my parents cabin at Brighton. It was perfect. There wasn't a ton of snow when we got there Wednesday night (meaning only a few feet), but we got dumped on Christmas day with at least 2 feet and had to dig/tow all our vehicles out. It was awesome. I say awesome because I watched from inside next to the fire. Dave might use a different word. The boys were really fun this year mainly because Lincoln "got it" and got really excited which, in turn, made Grant really excited...even though he didn't really know why. We took the boys sledding, Dave went snowboarding, we played lots of cards, watched a few movies, got in the hot tub a few times, and ate and ate and ate. It was such a wonderful Christmas. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Gingerbread Men

We made Gingerbread Men for FHE last night. Before you get to impressed that we actually have FHE let me clarify something...we made Gingerbread Men last night and it happened to be Monday night, so we called it FHE :) The boys loved it. They both really enjoy baking.

The boys rolling out the dough and cutting the man shapes.

Lincoln snuck into the kitchen while the cookies were cooling down for a taste test.

Grant didn't want to finish decorating his cookie. He just wanted to eat it.

Lincoln loved the decorating part and did about 3 cookies all by himself. He was very proud.

Let It Snow!

We got out first snow of the year on Saturday night. Unfortunately, we all got sick on Sunday, so the kids had to wait until today to play in it. Lincoln LOVES it. He's been out playing in it for 30 minutes now and is happy as a clam (what does that even mean?!). Anywho, Grant on the other hand, just got frustrated with the gloves so he's already inside watching a cartoon snuggled in a blanket on the couch. As soon as I put my big girl panties on, I'll go help them make a snowman or something...or maybe our snowman will have to wait until Daddy can go out and help :)

Sneak Peak

Here's a sneak peak into the future of Dave's hair. We (meaning mostly me) decided that we (again, mostly me) wanted to see what Dave would look like without hair. His poor hair line is receding, and even though it will prolly be a few years until this kind of cut is necessary, I decided to see what it will look like (and still have to option of it growing back). It's taken me a few days to get used to, but I'm really starting to like it now. Grant took 3 days to even look at Dave. He wanted nothing to do with his "new" Daddy, but is okay with it now. Lincoln thinks it's awesome and is always asking to touch his Daddy's head. Link told Dave last night that his hair looked pretty nice :)

We had family pictures taken this year for both the Meier and the Gale families. I have the Meier photos and will hopefully be getting the Gale photos soon. When I get the Gale pics, I'll post them. In the meantime, here are the Meier pics. Enjoy :)

Santa Pic

Santa Clause came to our ward Christmas party last week. Lincoln was way excited and had no problem sitting on Santa's lap and telling him what he wanted for Christmas. To Lincoln this is the best idea ever- you tell some old guy anything you want and he'll bring to your house while you're sleeping. It's like having another Grandpa Troy :) Grant, on the other hand, HATED sitting on some weird old man's leg and freaked out. Sweet. (This is the only pic I could get)
