Lost & Found

LOST: Lincoln lost his first tooth, Friday night, at the drive-in. We took the kids to see Cars 2 and right in the middle of it, Linc came over to me and said, "here Mom, I lost my tooth" and put it in the palm. It was so small that I thought for sure it was just a popcorn kernel. I pulled out my cell phone for some light, and sure enough, a tiny little tooth was in my hand. He was so excited! That night he left it for the tooth fairy and the next morning was happy to find a dollar bill under is pillow. I can't believe he's already loosing teeth!
FOUND: Lucy found out how to crawl. She's been doing a little move here and there, and inch worming/rolling around, all over the place, for a few weeks. On Saturday, she put two and two together, and started moving her knees and hands at the same time. It's now Monday morning and she's really gotten the hang of it. If I can ever figure out how to download my videos from the camcorder to the computer, I'll post her crawling video on here. Don't hold your breath :)
My babies are growing up!

Big Khauna

Last week we took the kids to the local waterslide. They LOVED it! It's the first time we've been this year and the boys have already asked to go back at least a dozen times.
Grant can now swim by himself, with a life jacket, and had a great time in the pool. He did the slide a few times with Dave, but I think he liked the freedom of swimming by himself more.

Lincoln went on the slide with Dave a few times and then asked if he could do it alone. Dave was a little hesitant, but I convinced him that Lincoln would be okay. The boy did have on a life jacket after all. I can't even begin to say how much he loved doing the slide by himself. Dave had to go back to work, but the boys wanted to stay, so I figured I could attempt manging 3 kids alone. Grant stayed in the pool, Linc went down the waterslide over and over and over (I lost count after time 8 in a row), Lucy layed in her stroller and drank a bottle (she needed to get out of the sun), and I watched it all from a lounge chair while soaking up some rays. It was awesome!

Little Miss did enjoy some swimming as well. The pool water is a perfect temperature for little ones. I'm sure it's a little too warm on hot days when you want to actually cool off, but it was perfect for us. She had a good time in the water, but I think next time I'll bring her a floaty of some sort so I don't have to hold her the entire time.

8 Months

Our sweet little Lucy is now 8 months old. She has grown so much the past month, physically and mentally. I don't have stats, but will next month when she goes in for a wellness check. She has developed a little attitude, but as of now we still find it adorable. I have no doubt that will change in the near future :) She is thisclose to crawling. She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth, but hasn't figured out how to move her hands without falling on her belly. She rolls around and can do a 360 on her belly to shimmy and move to whatever it is she wants. She loves big girl food! She would much rather eat the same thing we are, cut into tiny pieces of course, than any baby food from a jar. She does a great job feeding herself, both cut up solids and her bottle, and has become quit independent. She still only has her two bottom teeth, but I imagine she'll have a few more by next month. Her hair is getting long and I really need to trim the back. When it's wet, it reaches half way down her back giving her a killer mullet :) She is getting much better with other people and getting over her "stranger danger" phase, thank goodness! She is generally a very happy baby and we can't imagine life without our little ball of princessness.

T-Ball

Linc played t-ball for the first time this past spring. He was on a team that basically consisted of our neighborhood and his best friend/cousin Kyler. He really enjoyed it, as long as something was happening :) He loved to bat and be in on the action (which was mainly either pitch or 1st base). If there was any kind of lull in the game, he could be found making dirt piles between the bases or actually on the base itself. He said he had a great time and wants to do it again next year. Grunt should be old enough to play with him as well next year. Good job lil' stud muffin!

4th of July Weekend

We had a long, fun, family filled weekend. This wasn't our best 4th of July, but only because our poor little family has been stressed/tired/out of routine/too much mommy-not enough daddy time lately. Sorry Linda and Shaunna that we weren't on our best behavior :) We really hope you'll come back to Vernal soon! There was a lot going on, so instead of telling you about every last detail, I'm going to do a word list and then overwhelm you with random pictures: wizard of oz, staying up way too late, mizithra, snuggle time, rain storms, taco bell, wendys, subway, bbq, shaunnas jello salad, flaming gorge, jet skis, swimming in frigid water during a thunderstorm, shaunna tubing, dutch oven chicken and cobbler, camp site, little 4 wheelers, laughing really hard on the drive home from the gorge, sandbox, sprinklers, mud bombs, whiney lulu face, church, parade, jets, big black horses, city park, fireworks, time outs, fighting boys, hook, dave working, beautiful weather, lots of hugs, lots of kisses, lots of missing grammy g and aunt shaunna 20 minutes after they left.

*p.s. I LOVE this picture because it looks like Grant is flipping me off. I know, really weird reason to love a picture, but he's not, so it makes me laugh.
