New Look, New Songs

So I've decided to theme the blog for the next few months. For February y'all get a Dave and Mindy love fest theme. The first set of music is our love songs. Most of them are not what people would typically think of when they think of a love song. All of the songs remind us of one another. I'll give a quick reason why for each song and just go in the order they're listed:
-AS LONG AS YOU'RE MINE: we saw Wicked together for the first time on our 5 year anniversary and LOVED it
-HANDS CLEAN: this is our love story in college
-IGNITION: came out while we were dating and we listened to it all the time
-JUST APATHY: we discovered tally hall at a guster concert together and they're now one of our favorite bands
-DEMONS: my favorite guster song (dave's favorite band)
-WRAPPED UP IN YOU: garth is my favorite and this is one of the only garth songs dave can stomach
-RED STROKES: dave's favorite garth song to make fun of, so now it reminds me of him
-EVERY LITTLE THING: this song is on our wedding video and now every time we hear it we think of the video
-SOMEBODY LIKE YOU: another wedding video song
-O BROTHER: this is dave's acappella group (VP) at byu and we loved this movie
-BY YOUR SIDE: another song VP sang that will forever remind me of them
-HUMBLE ME: in lewiston we listened to a lot of Norah and it was there that i discovered this song with dave
-STICK SHIFTS: dave sang this song in VP...i can still see him on stage singing it :)
-TIME TO SAY GOODBYE: our 1st trip to vegas we saw this song on the bellagio fountains together
-MY IMMORTAL: i got this album in college and we listened to this song a lot
-AIR FORCE ONES: this song was big while we worked at the mayan together and we both loved it
-ARE YOU GONNE BE MY GIRL: in lewiston we worked out in the mornings and watch vh1 and this video was on EVERY day
-LINGER: in college dave said in high school he always wanted to make-out to this song but never did...i changed that for him pretty fast :)
The second set of songs is appropriately titled "Take Your Pants Off" songs, because frankly that's what these songs make me want to do :) TMI? Get over it.
*after a VP concert- just friends*
*new year's in vegas- still just friends*
*our first "offical" date*
*dating and working together at Chevy's*
*new year's on a cruise with the Meier family- just dating*

When it rains...

So apparently, things like EAR INFECTIONS can be passed along. Guess who became the most recent host to such a little fungus?! I thought you had to be under 4 years old to get these darn things!

Trapped in the House

Nothing really new to post about. Lincoln got sick last week, Grant got it over the weekend and then I got it this week. We went to the doctor, but turns out it's just a bug that we have to "just let run it's course". And Lincoln had an ear infection. Lincoln's felt better for about two days now and I'm hoping that today is Grant's turn around day. I never got it too bad, just enough to not feel great. Maybe when I'm not covered in little boy's snot all day I'll start to feel better as well :) I do have one Lincoln story:
Lincoln and Dave were downstairs playing video games. After about 15 minutes Lincoln came upstairs, slammed the door to the basement and came and sat on the living room couch (where I was).
Me: Is everything okay buddy?
Link: No. I'm being naughty and mean.
Me: You're being naughty and mean?
Link: Ya, so I gotta get all my presents and toys and put them together and give them to Santa cause I'm naughty and mean.
Me: Um, why are you being naughty and mean? What happened downstairs?
Link: Mom, I dist have to get all my toys now for Santa. And the wake monster.
Then Dave came upstairs to check on Lincoln and I asked him what happened and if he threatened Lincoln with the whole Santa thing. Dave was dumbfounded and had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently Link didn't win his level so he threw his controller down and marched upstairs. Dave never even said a word to him. Link came up with the whole Santa thing on his own. At least he knew he was being naughty I guess :)

Lazy

So I decided I was done doing the boys' hair. They wear a beenie most of the time anyway right now. They all got matching haircuts last night. I know, good thing I'm putting those hair skills to use right :) I must say, I do have some good looking men in my life!
*i love grant's serious face and link's total goof face in this one*

Mommy needs a timeout

This is the reason I'm not "allowed" to watch Days until nap time. The boys made a trail with ALL the pots, pans, cookie sheets, etc. They then walked that trail stepping in/on every one of them...over and over. *sigh* Guess I'll be doing dishes today.
