Love

4 things I love right now:

1-Baby sister is down to double digit days until she arrives.
2-Jolly Rancher fruit chews. Go try them now. You can thank me later.
3- The drive-in. This weekend we're going to see Toy Story 3 and Shrek 3-D. Nothing like watching a movie, in jammies, in the bed of the truck, snuggled in sleeping bags at 11 pm.
4- These two and their tan lines.

July Recap

I know July isn't over yet, but I have a bunch of random pics, so you get an early recap. I'm going to start with the latest and greatest and work my way back to the beginning of the month.

We had a wicked storm blow through a few nights ago. It rained super hard for about 30 minutes and then was gone. The temperature outside was still really warm though, so we let the boys play in the rain/gutter for the majority of the storm. They loved it. Grunt is such a skinny little thing that as soon as his shorts got wet, they wouldn't stay on his bum.

It's been getting really hot here lately. We've hit triple digits a few days and most of the days it stays in the mid nineties. I can't handle even walking from the parking lot of Wal-mart into the actual store without getting grouchy :) I'm not a big fan of any temperature over 85 to start with. Add being almost 6 months preggo to that, and yep, I'm a beast. The boys, however, love playing in the sprinkler in the backyard and making "mud" in the sandbox. As long as I can sit and watch from our 72 degree air conditioned house, I'm more than happy to let them spend hours out there.

We moved Grunt into Link's room 3 weeks ago. We took the bunk beds apart (I didn't want them climbing up and down them all night long) and gave Grunt his own big boy bed. So far they're doing really well sharing a room. Nap time is the exception. I usually make Grunt come in my bed and sleep by me while Link stays in their room. Now we just have to get all of Grunt's clothes out of baby sister's room, redecorate a little and the move will be complete.

Grammy G and the Farris clan came up to spend the 4th with us. We had a great time hanging out and just taking it easy.
We tried to be somewhat entertaining and got out the blow-up waterslide,

took lots of naps,

went to the city park for fireworks (which kind of sucked this year Vernal...),

let Daddy entertain with his song and dance,

and went to the yellow water slide. I think everyone loved it. Daddy was such a good sport and was on water slide duty the entire 2 hours we were there. I played the pregnancy card and got to skip the stairs and just play in the pool with them :)

All in all, summer has been great this year. It's going by fast, which I don't mind too much because that means it's just that much sooner to see baby sister! I'll try to get another update on here before the end of August :)

Link's school sent home these cute calenders for June, July and August of fun stuff to do to keep the kiddos entertained. I thought some of you might like a few ideas :)
