38 Things...

1.  He's funny. Like pee your pants funny. He's at his funniest when he's not trying too hard to be funny.
 2.  He loves video games, but rarely gets to play them anymore.
 3.  He has the best smile. When he looks at you and smiles, it's impossible not to smile back.
 4.  He's a nerd. All the cliches of being a band/choir/electronic kid in high school are him.
 5.  I love that he's musical and insanely smart with all things wired. Those are crazy good talents to have.
 6.  He can melt me with one look from his big brown eyes. I'm thankful Lucy has those exact ones.
 7.  He's athletic. It took him a long time realize it (see #4), but he really is. Volleyball, racquetball,  swimming, running, biking, weight lifting, all come naturally to him.
 8.  He's a triathlete. He's done the Olympic and the regular (?) versions.
 9.  He's smart. I'm always asking him what words mean and how to spell them.
10. He loves his Mom. Total Mama's boy. I love it.
11. He's a very hard worker. He has no problem rolling his sleeves up and getting stuff done.
12. He can't focus on anything else if there's something to watch on a screen. It's like a moth to a flame.
13. He HATES spiders. We have an unspoken agreement- I get the spiders, he gets the snakes.
14. He doesn't  like hanging out outside. It may be due to the fact that bugs eat him alive or that he sunburns if he thinks about the sun. Either way, not a fan of being outdoors.
15. Except to jet ski. He really enjoys jet skiing.
16. He LOVES to ski. He tried to snowboard a few years ago, but came to the conclusion that he's too old to take it up. So he switched to skiing and every year he gets more excited to hit the slopes.
17. He would much rather have experiences then things.
18. He loves to travel and we have been blessed to have taken a trip almost every year of our married lives.
19. He is a certified scuba diver. He's seen sharks, crazy huge sting rays, sunken ships, etc. at 60 feet under.
20. He's oh so handsome. Sometimes I just like to look at him.
21. He's a charmer. Ask any girl 8-14 or over the age of 75. They all have crushes on him.
22. He honors his Priesthood. He gives blessings, attends the temple and fulfills his church callings.
23. He doesn't bear it often, but he has a really strong testimony.
24. He doesn't remember much about growing up. I tease him that when it all comes back to him, we're not going to be able to afford the therapy bill.
25. He adores me. Puts me on a pedestal, really. It's nice to be worshiped.
26. He has a temper. It rarely shows, but when it does, watch it. Kind of like a volcano. With turrets.
27. He doesn't think of himself as a solo singer, but he has a great voice and does wonderful going solo.
28. He loves to be in the spotlight, but hates big crowds socially. On a stage in front of hundreds of people...awesome. At a family gathering with 20 people...no thanks.
29. He's color blind. Red and greens mostly.
30. He's served his mission in Denver, CO. One of his areas in now 15 minutes from our house.
31. He is an incredible father. His children absolutely adore him and he loves them more than anything.
32. He hates yard work and hanging the Christmas lights. Those are his two least favorite things to do around the house.
33. He's a talker. Doesn't know the meaning of "to make a long story short." But he's really good at giving in depth detail and is a great story teller.
34. He really wants to learn how to play the piano.
35. He's a perv. In a good way. Not in a windowless white van kind of way.
36. He is getting really thick. His chest, arms and shoulders are really muscular and his waist is trim. He was such a skinny kid growing up, and in his twenties, that I think he really enjoys being buff.
37. He is a really, really good husband. He tires so hard to make me happy. He really does put my needs before his own.
38.  He's my best friend. I know everyone says that about their spouse, but he really truly is. He's the first person I always want to tell things to. He's the one I talk to when I need to vent. He's the person I want to hang out with all the time. I can't fall asleep at night unless I'm tucked into his side. He's my person.

Lucy is THREE!

My Lulu is three. I'm in denial. She's not a toddler anymore, she's a little girl. It's amazing how much she's grown in the past 6 months. She is such a beautiful little girl. And funny. And sassy. And bossy. And a girly tomboy. And a non-stop talker. Every new milestone she tackles, I find myself more and more enraptured by her. Here are some things about her right now:
*She LOVES her siblings. Playing with the big boys is one of her favorite things to do. She gets so excited when they get home from school every day.
*She sings. All the time. Her favorite songs are: Radioactive, Roar, Royals, and Twinkle Twinkle. She's definitely a top 20 type of girl and doesn't care for county music at all.
*She's been in dance class for a month now and adores it. Ballet is her favorite part. She does her twirls and spins (and somersaults) all day.
*Two weeks before her third birthday, she decided it was time to start wearing underwear. She's now potty trained and it wasn't too difficult. She's really good about being able to do the whole process by herself.
*Tinkerbell, Sophia and Ariel are her favorite people. She asks daily if we can go to Disneyland to see them.
*She doesn't like to eat dinner. Breakfast and lunch are fine, but dinner, no go.
*Kraft singles and dill pickles are a breakfast staple. She eats them every morning.
*She loves electronics as much as her brothers. The ipad, iphones, ipods, etc are her favorites.
*She has conversations with herself, out loud, all the time. It's basically like an inner dialog of good cop, bad cop, except she says it all out loud.
*She loves to color, do puzzles and play games.
*She also loves to read books. I don't do it enough with her, but when I do, it's the only time she sits still.
*She loves to dress up and wear anything fancy or frilly.
*She loves jewelry and makeup. I'll usually let her pick something of mine to wear and dab a little makeup on her while I'm getting ready.
*Daddy and Papa are her favorite and are both COMPLETELY wrapped around her finger.
*Aunt Steppie has recently made the list of favorite people. She wants to play at her house every day.

At her 3 year wellness check, she was almost 31 lbs (50%) and 37.5 inches (80%).

The birthday girl squeezed the life out of her cake

The girls are both obsessed with Toy Story right now

 Helping Papa pick the orchard

She's trying to phase out naps, but this happens every time she skips one!

Aunt Stephie was nice enough to take Lucy for her first mani-pedi.
My sweet nephews don't mind playing with girl toys :)

This is how one grocery shops with four kids alone.
And this is how one shops with four kids and spousal support.

She is OBSESSED with her blanket. Wouldn't even put it down to eat.

The girls being patient and watching cartoons while I attempted to workout.

Carpool week is hard on this little one.
I made 15 dozen of 5 different types of cookie for Linc's baptism luncheon.
I'm so incredible proud of both of these stud muffins.

The night of Lincoln's baptism, we all got hit HARD with a bug. The three big kids threw up all night.

Lucy likes to make random paths of things...like legos and all my earrings.

Bean has all FOUR front teeth gone at the same time!

Still loves her Sophia doll.
Like I said, she's trying to phase out her own nap time.

Halloween Bunco with my favorite Hot Dog and Hamburger.

Screen shot of my attempt to get a kid picture. Obviously they corporated really well.

Meier Grandkids 2013.
Don't let all those sweet faces fool you. This was only achieved after SIX head/body/face swaps.
Thank heavens for photoshop.

First big snowfall of the year. I love when it snows and my front bushes still have their red leaves.

One morning she woke up and declared she wanted to wear big girl underwear instead of a diaper. Thus, the potty training officially began.

Both girls like to sit on my lap sometimes.

She had a good week of wearing nothing but undies all day.

This is what she did the entire time I tried to grocery shop one day. Just happened to be the same day that I took Lucy into the store bathroom four times to go potty. She never went. Until we were at the checkout line. Then she peed all over the floor by the cash register. Good times.
Thank heavens she's more like this most of the time.

My cute lil' cowgirl.
This is what happens in sacrament meeting when Friday night slumber party gets moved to Saturday night slumber party.
Lucy started dance class once a week. She LOVES it.

Uncle Craig tried to convince Dave to take this sweet little guy home. Cutest puppy ever. Unfortunately, I still have crazy bad allergies, even with the really cute ones.

Paintballing zombies with Grammy and Papa.
Halloween breakfast.
Superhero day (on Halloween) at school.
