Just Keep Swimming
I finally put both boys in swim lessons. The went every Tuesday and Thursday night for the month of September. Both of them loved it! Link has always been a fish and has never been afraid of the water or swimming alone. Grunt is a little more hesitant, but did great with lessons. They were really fun to watch and usually had Dave and I laughing.

The Windy City
A few weeks ago Dave and I had the opportunity to visit Chicago for a few days, courtesy of Superior Drilling Products. The IMTS, basically a really big machining tool show, was going on and one of the latest machines my Dad has purchased was going to be there. Someone had to go look at the machine in person, so I volunteered Dave and I :)
The Mackay's were kind enough to take the boys for a few days and then Grammy and Papa had them for a few days as well. It was such a nice break for us. I don't know if Dave needed it as much as I did, but it was incredibly relaxing just being a wife and not a maid/cook/chauffeur/care taker for the weekend.
The tool show was incredible. The event center where it was held was huge! I was definitely overwhelmed by the whole thing. I didn't think there was anything that was the exact opposite of me, but I found out there is...tool shows. It was so not my cup of tea. But, like I said, it was incredible and I can respect that. I sat on a chair and nerd/people watched the majority of the time while Dave talked shop. That part was entertaining :)
We got to do a lot of site seeing. We went on top of the Sears Tower,

on a boat ride/city tour (which was really fun, but freezing!) ,

ate at a lot of really good restaurants,
and of course shopped on the magnificent mile. Baby Sis was a trooper and let me have lots of energy to do all the above mentioned activities. It's amazing how much energy I had when I wasn't pouring most of it into chasing the 2 monsters :) Even at 7 months preggo.

Cabin Clean Up
I'm a little behind on my blogging, so I'll start with Labor Day. The entire Meier clan spent the weekend at the cabin doing our first "cabin clean-up". The men tackled the outside projects while the women scrubbed down the inside. Grandpa had the boys help him build a troll bridge and got each of them their own tool belt and mini tools. It was very cute. We had a fantastic weekend. The cabin is absolutely beautiful this time of year. We're so very grateful Grammy and Papa are willing to share it with us!

We also went to our first SL Real soccer game on Saturday night. We had incredible box seats and Link loved it. Grunt was interested in the first half, but then wanted to play on the ipod. I definitely want to go see another game or 5. Not only is soccer a lot more fun to watch live (like most sports), but soccer players are seriously some of the hottest athletes. Yum.

Quickie
I have a lot of catching up to do with the blog, but in the meantime, here is a little snippet from our weekend. It was fabulous.
