Catch Up

Here are a few random pictures of what we've been doing lately:

*best friends or total enemies*

*picking pumpkins in Grammy and Papa's pumpkin patch**it was really windy and dusty*

*after effects of a tattoo slumber party*

*helping daddy get the yard ready for winter*

I love these boys. The keep me on my toes and make me laugh every day!

Post 101

This is my 101 post!?
I didn't realize I'd been doing that well with the blog *padding myself on the back*.
Okay, now to the real post.
Grandpa John drove up from California a few weekends ago to visit with the kids and go to a gun show with Dave. We met him down in SLC and spent the weekend at the cabin. Dave was in heaven at the gun show and having his Dad there with him made it even better. I'm not sure when he turned into such a trigger happy boy, but I don't think it's going away any time soon. We took the boys to the Discovery Center at Gateway and met up with the Farris family. Everyone had a really good time and we definitely wore poor Grandpa John out. Thanks for coming up to see us Grandpa John!

WDW- day 7

Day seven was our big traveling day. We got one last parting shot, and it's blurry because my lens fogged over from the humidity, give big hugs and kisses and boarded the Magical Express. We had a LONG day of flying and then an even longer trip driving home. The boys did really well, all things considered. This trip was so much fun and I'm so thankful we were able to do it...but I'm just now recovering and it's been almost 2 weeks :) Maybe we'll try it again in 4 years. Who wants to do a WDW 2013 trip?

WDW- day 6

Day six started out with breakfast at Hollywood Studios. It was a Playhouse Disney breakfast and was one of the first meals the boys actual ate. They loved every minute of it and I would definitely do it again if given the chance. We saw Jojo and Goliath from Jojo's Circus and also Leo and June from Little Einsteins. The boys loved June and both tried to make out with her.

After breakfast we rode Toy Story Mania, again, a few more times.
Then we headed over to the animation studio where we saw a little bit of what the animators do. We saw the movie posters for a few of the up and coming movies including a preview of The Princess and the Frog. We also got to met and great a few characters and the all important Mickey Mouse.

That night we headed back to the Magic Kingdom for one last hurrah and to watch the fireworks. We got to stay in the park 3 extra hours after it closed and we wore the poor boys out! They had such a great time and I'm glad we got to do this park one last time.
Day 6 was wonderful and to make it even better the boys actually slept in the same bed that night :) A great last night of our never ending vacation.

WDW- Day 5

Day five we spent the morning at Hollywood Studios. The adults all rode Aerosmith and then Dave and I took Lincoln on Tower of Terror. He didn't like the whole twilight zone part of it. I think that scared him more than the drop. I laughed the entire time while we were dropping up and down because his face was priceless. Afterwards he said he didn't want to go on it again, but the next day he was asking to do the elevator ride again.

Then we headed over to the Pixar area of the park and rode Toy Story Mania a few times. I think it was one of the boys' favorite rides.

*this is how we found Mom after waiting for us to take pictures with Woody and Buzz*
saw Lightening McQueen and Mater,
then ate a fantastic lunch at the Prime Time 50's Diner. After lunch we headed back to the hotel for nap time and Mom and Shaunna did the best thing ever. They took the boys for the rest of the day. And the night actually. Dave and I went back to Hollywood studios for a bit of alone time, then to a great adult dinner at Shula's Steakhouse, walked the boardwalk together, then spent the night in our room alone. It was a well needed and appreciated date. The boys loved hanging out with Grammy G and Aunt Shaunna. They got to swim and play and eat treats and watch cartoons and snuggle. Heaven all around.

Day five was wonderful!
