WDW- Day 5

Day five we spent the morning at Hollywood Studios. The adults all rode Aerosmith and then Dave and I took Lincoln on Tower of Terror. He didn't like the whole twilight zone part of it. I think that scared him more than the drop. I laughed the entire time while we were dropping up and down because his face was priceless. Afterwards he said he didn't want to go on it again, but the next day he was asking to do the elevator ride again.

Then we headed over to the Pixar area of the park and rode Toy Story Mania a few times. I think it was one of the boys' favorite rides.

saw Lightening McQueen and Mater,

then ate a fantastic lunch at the Prime Time 50's Diner. After lunch we headed back to the hotel for nap time and Mom and Shaunna did the best thing ever. They took the boys for the rest of the day. And the night actually. Dave and I went back to Hollywood studios for a bit of alone time, then to a great adult dinner at Shula's Steakhouse, walked the boardwalk together, then spent the night in our room alone. It was a well needed and appreciated date. The boys loved hanging out with Grammy G and Aunt Shaunna. They got to swim and play and eat treats and watch cartoons and snuggle. Heaven all around.

Day five was wonderful!

Elder Gale

Lincoln went on a field trip with his class a few weeks ago to some water fountains in town. It's just down the street from his school, so they all walked. On the walk back, this is the conversation he had with his teacher.

Ms. Rayma: "Look at all the beautiful flowers."

Linc: "Yea, they're very bootiful."

Ms. Rayma: "How do you think they got so pretty?"
Linc: "Because Jesus makes them that way."

I love him.

On a totally unrelated side note, it's 8 am and 28 degrees outside and I love it!

WDW- Day 4

Day four was Epcot day...We got to the park and headed straight for the Finding Nemo ride and Talking with Crush. Both were awesome. They are in The Seas section of the park and there was also a huge aquarium(s) with sharks, dolphins, rays, etc. Everyone loved it. That night we headed over to the Polynesian Resort for dinner. We ate at The Spirit of Aloha luau (I do have a group picture but I have to scan it...look for it another day). It was a really fun and different thing to do for dinner. The served us WAY too much food (it was "all you care to eat"), but it was all very delicious. The boys stayed entertained for most of dinner, which is incredible considering we were there for over 2 hours. Lincoln got to go up on stage and have happy birthday sung to him, yet again.Grammy G got a chance to check out some sweet eye candy and we all really enjoyed the fire dancer dude. After dinner we walked out to the little beach they have set up at the resort and let the boys get their wiggles out by running and running and running.

After dinner we went back to Epcot to watch the firework show and tour all the countries. We couldn't see much of the different countries because it was too dark, but I did get my crepe from France. That's really the only thing I wanted to do at Epcot :) We let the boys play in a fountain even though it was 10:30 pm. I didn't get a decent picture,either it was too dark or the boys were just moving too much, but I thought this one was cool.After about 30 minutes of getting soaked, I decided they couldn't ride the shuttle back to our hotel being that wet. So we went into one of the many stores and bought them Mickey Mouse dressed as Captain Jack jammies. The boys were very excited about their new finds.
Day four started and ended as a success.

WDW- Day 3

Day three was our official first day in the Magic Kingdom. We were able to get in an hour before the park actually opened because we were staying on property. Grammy G was kind enough to take Grant to ride Dumbo while Shaunna, Dave and I took Lincoln to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad. Lincoln really wanted to ride Splash again. And again. And again.

Then we all met up together for a few rounds of Pirates, Aladdin, Jungle Cruise (which was totally lame- especially after doing Animal Kingdom the day before), and pineapple float goodness.

We ate lunch at the Crystal Palace with the characters from Winnie the Pooh. Lincoln was in meltdown mode when lunch started, but by the time Tigger came around he was a happy camper again.

It helped that we sang happy birthday to him, again, and that he got his own special cupcake with a candle to blow out. Those folks at Disney sure love to celebrate. Lincoln had a birthday treat pretty much every day for the entire week.

After lunch we did a few more shows and rides and then headed back to the hotel for our daily afternoon nap. The boys found a little playground area by Splash that they really enjoyed (more Grant than Lincoln since Lincoln got to ride on Splash). Thanks again Grammy G for keeping the Bean entertained while we rode Splash a gazillion times.

Day three was fun. A few meltdowns, the boys wouldn't eat anything but treats, it got pretty hot, but we were in the Magic Kingdom. That alone makes up for the rest of it a few times over.

WDW- Day 2

After our late night I wasn't sure how the boys would do getting up early. That and the whole time change thing. Fortunately, they did great (that day). We got up early and went to the Animal Kingdom. I've been to WDW two other times before this trip and had never gone to the Animal Kingdom, so it was a first for me as well. It was great!

We saw A Bug's Life 3D show,

went on a safari tour and saw lots and lots of amazing animals (in their "natural" habitat, not like a zoo AT ALL),

rode Expedition Everest (which is a wicked cool coaster that I don't have any pics of), played in Dino-land,

let Shaunna release her inner tribal-ness,

and went on the river rapids ride a couple times (at Lincoln's request). He loved getting wet. The first time down I sat by him and we got totally soaked. Day two was definitely a success.
